Q: Any general health guides or websites for men in their 30s?
From time to time, I've come across literature, websites, and TV/Radio reports on health guides for people turning a certain age. Mostly for seniors, but recently I heard a 5 minute radio report on health tips for people entering their 50s. I will be turning 30 later this year, and I was wondering if there is anything out there (especially websites) that can provide good health information and advice for men in their 30s. I'm looking for something that would provide this type of information: - Any tests or screenings that men in their 30s should have - Any common changes in a man's health or body that takes place in their 30s. - Any common health "issues" men begin to experience during that age - Any general tips targeted for men in their 30s on how to stay healthy. If you don't know of a website, but can provide information based upon your own personal knowledge or experience, feel free to answer. Thanks!

Q: Is there any general health insurance coverage for people with Multiple sclerosis?
My wife was diagnosed with R/R Multiple sclerosis a couple of years ago. We were living overseas and had company provided insurance at that time. Our insurance was dicontinued when our employment ended. We have moved back and are looking for Health insurance here. We tried Cobra but the lapsed time was more than 6 months between coverages so we were declined. Are there any other options?

A: Don't bother with that guaranteed issue bit the other guy recommeded. 'Limited coverage ' is defined as $100 a year for doctor visits and $1,000 a year for surgery. She won't get out of it what she pays in. Her best and only hope is Medicare, when she turns 65, or after she gets declared disabled and goes on SSDI.

Q: Would people who want to quit smoking appreciate a quit smoking category under the general health section?
Smoking kills. People know that. What many people don't know is how to quit and stay quit...the general health section should have a place about nicotine addiction I think.

A: it would be nice to have under ANY health catagory... i am a smoker who really does have the desire to quit.. just not the "strength" or "will power" i would be interested in seeing links to HYPNOTHERAPY ya kmow, where you get hypnotized into becoming an instant non-smoker. it would be nice to see.... yes.

Q: Where can I seek affordable health coverage for general and emergency care?
I'm currently jobless, and living abroad in Central America with my boyfriend. I need health insurance for emergencies and general health care. The plan I had was too expensive and I am desperate for a sense of security in case something happens. Also, I have been struggling with some more minor health issues and need to be able to see an American MD when I am home in the states. Please advise. Would also appreciate helpful weblinks as internet resources. Thanks.

A: I think www.ehealthinsurance.com can give you quotes on some individual plans. I think Assurant Health also sells policies, they have temporary coverage and stuff like that.

Q: Is the health of sperm consistent regardless of general health?
I was wondering if your diet and lifestyle can affect the health of sperm. For example, if I were to eat strictly unhealthy food and deprive my body of the right nutrients and activity, would my sperm be affected? I ask this because ultimately, I want to know if the health and vitality of a potential fetus is altered by the current biological state of a male who impregnates a female.

A: No sperm is very susceptible to changes in the males health and what he's eating drinking smoking and drugging. And when a male is sick his sperm is weakened and the count is low the color and viscosity will change. A healthy males sperm is quite thick and very white if he has not ejaculated for a day or so.

Q: What are some general health tips that are great to follow?
How can I stop giving in to cravings for chocolate and cookies? (That's the only unhealthy stuff I'm addicted to). I always crave a sweet breakfast, so I have cereal or jam on toast. What are some healtheir alternatives? With little sugar?

A: Apart from eating things for which we feel that craving, add some fresh fruits, vegetables, salads, etc... Over a period of time, the chemistry within our body would drop, and we can notice the craving getting reduced and drop by itself, without much struggle. For quicker results, increase the intake of fresh fruits, vegetables, salads (if possible just before giving in to that 'craved' items)! Best wishes!
